What You'll GainWhile internships are unpaid, interns receive: Access to select virtual workforce-readiness trainings One-on-one time with an experienced Career Coach A professional outfit from our Wardrobe Center—so you can show up confident for your next interview Mentorship and networking with nonprofit and social enterprise professionals The chance to apply academic learning in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment Internships People Operations Internship The People Operations Intern will work directly with the People Operations Manager and Chief Operations Officer, supporting both HR and volunteer program functions. This intern will monitor the volunteer email and portal, assist with day-to-day People Operations administrative duties and compliance, and help create onboarding materials for volunteers and interns. They will also gain experience responding to inquiries from supervisors, volunteers, and employees, and contribute to special projects and learning/training material updates. Marketing Internship The Marketing Intern will work directly with the Marketing Coordinator on organization-wide branding, communications, and campaign efforts. This intern will assist with social media content and scheduling (Hootsuite, Canva), support email marketing campaigns in Constant Contact, and help manage website and newsletter updates in WordPress. They will also develop creative assets using Canva and Adobe InDesign, and support event marketing and promotional materials that reinforce the organization's brand and mission. Social Enterprise Marketing Internship The Social Enterprise Marketing Intern will work directly with the Social Enterprise Director and store managers across Working Wardrobes' retail and donation operations. This intern will visit store locations and the Donation Center to capture photo and video content, write and publish Instagram content, and design graphics using Canva. They will also support live streams, in-store event promotion, and register support, developing "shopping success stories" that connect customer experience to community impact. Development Internship The Development Intern will work directly with the Development Team to learn and support in areas of development, stewardship, relationship management, and nonprofit fundraising. The position will focus on assisting in a large project to overhaul our donor database. This individual will learn the ins and outs of our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system used to engage with our donor base and help to streamline processes and procedures to ensure efficiency while focusing on donor stewardship.
