Description:
Use your HR and recruiting expertise to support clients on their path to employment! As a volunteer Career Coach, you’ll provide one-on-one job readiness support including resume development, interview practice, LinkedIn guidance, and job search strategy.
You’ll coach two clients each week (same day) in person or via Zoom. Each session is 1.5 hours, with time outside of sessions dedicated to preparation and documenting progress in our CRM. Total weekly commitment is approximately 5 hours. This is a deeply impactful opportunity to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, many of whom are justice-impacted or veterans.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct two 1:1 coaching sessions per week (same day, 1.5 hours each)

Resume review and ATS formatting

Interview preparation

LinkedIn setup

Job search strategy

Prep and follow-up outside of sessions (~2 hours weekly)

Enter notes into database/CRM

Maintain professional, empathetic communication with individuals navigating complex life transitions
Ideal Candidate:

Background in HR, recruiting, or career coaching

Experience with ATS systems and resume development

Familiar with Microsoft Office

Compassionate, adaptable, and able to work independently

Comfortable working with justice-impacted individuals and veterans
Requirements:

Minimum 1-year commitment

Weekly availability for coaching sessions on Monday 9–12, Thursday 9–12, or Wednesday (any time)

Preference for in-person (Santa Ana); Zoom considered for right candidate

Must complete orientation and program-specific training
